Haribandhu Panda, Ph.D. Director, HDF School of Management
Prof. Panda has more than 25 years of National and International experience in academics and industries. Prior to joining HDF, Prof. Panda worked as Dean, KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Bhubaneswar; Professor and Member of Board of Governors, Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand; Technology Specialist at the South East Asia Technology Co., Ltd. (SEATEC), Bangkok; Assistant Chief Design Engineer at the National Thermal Power Corporation, Ltd. (NTPC), Delhi; and Senior Research Associate at the Energy Technology Division of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok. His education includes Ph.D. in Management of Technology and M. Eng. in Energy Technology from the AIT; MBA from the Faculty of Management of Studies (FMS), University of Delhi; and B. Eng. in Mechanical from the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela. His areas of research interest include Strategic Management, Management of Technology and Energy Management. He has published in Applied Energy, Technology Management and Technovation. He has recently edited a book, “Governance and Management of Rural Electricity System in India”, published by Academic Foundation and IRMA.
Kishor C Meher, Fellow ( ICWAI), Dean
Professor Meher has more than 20 years of Professional / Consultancy / Industrial experience as internal auditor, financial consultant and insurance surveyor. He was a faculty with RIMS School of Management & Information Science, Rourkela, Maharishi Institute of Management, IBAT School of Management and Krupajal Business School, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal. In addition, he had taught as Visiting Professor for ten years in Institutions like NIRC of ICWI, New Delhi, AIMA Nodal Centre, APPEJAY Institute of Management, MBA Dept. of Sambalpur University & Utkal university, Sambalpur Chapter of ICWAI. He was actively involved with the in-house MDP of the Management Training Institute of M/S Mahanadi Coal Fields Ltd, Sambalpur and Cormondol Fertilisers Ltd conducted by Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. He has to his credit publications in the area of Cost Management, Working Capital Management, Managerial Accounting, Investment Management and International Finance and has undertaken numerous consultancy and research work. His current area of interest includes Research in Capital Market and Forex Risk Management, Customization of FICO modules of SAP and Global Financial Reporting.
Kameshwar Choudhary, Ph.D, (JNU)
Professor Choudhary was faculty at the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA), ISS (Agra University) and Banaras Hindu University, VaranasI. He has over 20 years of experience in teaching, research and training in the field of sociology, development theory, and education. Prof. Choudhary has contributed several chapters in edited books. He has published over forty papers and articles in journals of repute in India and abroad. He has also contributed to design of courses in sociology for IGNOU, New Delhi and has guided a number of doctoral students. He has two books to his credit: Intellectuals And Society (Popular Prakashan, Mumbai, 2004) and Globalisation, Governance Reforms and Development in India (ed.) Sage Publications, 2007].He has been Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, JNU, New Delhi and Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. He is a recipient of the National Social Science Academic Award 2007 (ISSA).His current areas of interest include globalisation and reforms, development perspectives, and education and society in India. He has actively participated in seminars and conferences in both India and abroad.
Dr. Smita Mishra Panda Professor Development Studies
Professor Smita was faculty of the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). She has over 20 years of experience in research and teaching in the areas of gender and development issues, natural resource management and rural-regional planning. She has worked as a researcher at the Gender and Development Studies, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand and also with the United Nations Centre for Regional Development, Nagoya, Japan. Dr. Smita has been a guest faculty with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim). She has published extensively in professional journals, both India and abroad. Her current areas of interest are gender and governance, gender and water, role of NGOs in rural development and peri-urban natural resource and livelihood institutional concerns. She has done several consultancy projects in these areas as well. She has recently edited a book ‘Engendering Governance Institutions: State, Market and Civil Society’ Sage Publications, 2008. Dr. Smita has participated in several seminars, conferences within the country and internationally. She is also the Cap Net India (Integrated Water Resources Management) coordinator.
Chitta Ranjan Bhoi, MA & M.Phil (BU)
Prof. Bhoi, MA & M.Phil in English, is a former faculty of affiliated colleges of Utkal University and KIIT University. He has over 12 years of experience in teaching English literature, language and communication. His areas of interest include research and teaching in written and oral communication and personality development. He has a number of publications to his credit.
Chandan Kumar Sahoo, M. Phil, Ph.D. (Utkal)
Former faculty of the Asian School of Business Management, Bhubaneswar with over 9 years of teaching and research experience in OB & HRM. His education includes Ph.D. in Organisational Restructuring and Human Resource Management, M.Phil., M.A (PM&IR) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. His area of research interest includes Managing Employee Relations, Competency Mapping & Career management, Organisational Restructuring and value based HR Practices. He has published research papers & management cases in several referred journals. He has attended and presented papers in various National and International Seminars.
Supriti Mishra, Ph. D. (IIT, Kharagpur), M.A. (Eco.) and MBA (Utkal University).
Professor, Supriti Mishra has over 15 years of industrial, teaching and consulting experience. She has been teaching in the areas of Strategy, Business Ethics, and Managerial Economics in various management schools in Orissa, both as a core and a visiting faculty. She was also a visiting faculty of Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT, Kharagpur during the year 2005-08. She has acted as a consultant to various National and International organizations of repute in the development sector. She has to her credit publications in the areas of corporate social responsibility, corporate governance and development management.
Chinmay Dash, Ph. D. (Utkal)
Former faculty of the Asia Pacific Institute of Management Studies, Delhi with over 15 years of teaching and research experience in marketing. He has also been faculty in Marketing area in Institute of Professional Studies and Research, Cuttack; Amrapali Institute, Naintal; North Orissa University, Baripada; and Asian School of Business Management, Bhubaneswar. He has a number of publications in marketing area in many academic journals.
