DGE & T Affiliated Trades
The Director General of Employment & Training (DGE & T), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India has granted affiliation for the following trades under the recommendation of the Government of Orissa, vide Industries Department letter no-DGET-6/18/13/2008-TC(New/PVT).
1. The following trades are being offered for training from the academic session 2008-2009:

2. Age:
The applicant seeking admission for training in the above mentioned trades should be between the of 14 to 25 years. However, the age of the applicant may be relaxed up to a certain extent by the Competent Authority, subject to fulfillment of stipulations prescribed by the DGE & T, Govt. of India.
3. Physical Test:
Every candidate, before getting admitted, shall have to appear before a Medical Officer of the HDF-GRAMIN ITC for a medical test. The candidates found physically fit shall only be considered for admission into the specific trade as per the rank and choice notified for the purpose.
4. Method of Selection:
Candidates will be selected strictly on merit, based on the marks secured by them in the qualifying examination i.e. XII (Under 10+2 system) conducted by CHSE/CBSE/ICSE or any other equivalent examination.
Counselling will be done through personal interview on the basis of merit on specified date and venue and trades will be allotted as per rank and choice subject to availability of seats
5. Undertaking from trainees:
On joining the ITC, each trainee shall be required to submit an undertaking duly signed by him/her and countersigned by father/guardian of the candidate to abide by the discipline, rules, regulations, instructions of the ITC, take care of tools, equipment, machinery, computers etc entrusted to them, attend all the theory and practical classes, maintain all records promptly and regularly, shall not discontinue the course besides conforming to abide by such rules and regulations as already prescribed/to be prescribed from time to time by the Competent Authority of the ITC.
Apart from above, each candidate shall be required to submit an undertaking to the effect that he/she shall not resort to any malicious activities / cause any sort of ragging to other trainees. Failure on the part of trainees to abide by the rules and regulations laid down, will lead the authorities to discontinue the training of the candidate, not to refund the caution money besides initiating appropriate action as per law.
6. Caution Money:
As a measure to safeguard possible losses/damages to tools, equipment, machinery etc. entrusted to them, each trainee will be required to deposit a sum of Rs 200/- along with the fees prescribed for admission etc. However, additional amount towards caution money may be collected/ recovered for second time in case the caution money initially deposited is exhausted due to losses/ damages etc caused. The caution money so collected shall be refunded to each trainee on completion of the training after deduction of dues, if any.
7. Uniforms:
The trainees shall be required to put on the prescribed uniform and attend the classes / workshop or else they will be fined/not allowed to attend the classes/workshop.
8. Hostel Facilities:
Trainees requiring hostel accommodation shall have to clearly indicate the same in the application form.
9. Special Concession:
Reservation of seats shall be done for admitting different categories of applicants like SC/ST/OBC/PH etc subject to stipulation/direction by the Competent Authority.
10. Stipends/Merit Scholarship:
If the trainee applies in the prescribed application form to the Government and if the Government sanctions and releases stipends/scholarships etc. in favour of any trainee to the ITC, the same shall be disbursed to the concerned trainee.
11. Industry-Institute-Interaction:
Interaction between the trainees and employment providing agencies/industries, shall be arranged by inviting such people to provide exposure about the latest developments in technology.
12. Computer Literacy:
Every trainee admitted in to the ITC shall be provided with computer training enabling him or her to be computer literate.
13. Educational tour:
Educational tour for the trainees shall be arranged for interaction and for better practical exposure.
14. Finishing School Programme:
In order to equip the trainees on the gaps prevailing between what they learnt as per the syllabi and the latest requirements of the job providers, bridge courses in theory as well as technical skills shall be provided. Besides, training also shall be provided to them for improving their communication skills, personality development, interview facing techniques etc. so that they can do better in the interviews.
15. Coaching for Diploma Entrance Test :
Eligible students/trainees of ITC may opt to undergo coaching to pursue higher studies in Engineering Diploma course subject to their rank in the Diploma Entrance Test conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Orissa.
Hence, the trainees, who have passed X class under 10+2 system with Mathematics and Science, shall be provided coaching in order to enable him/her to appear at the above-mentioned examination.
16. Group Insurance:
Each trainee shall be covered under Group Insurance Scheme to meet/compensate/ support expenditure to be incurred in connection with any unforeseen accidents as per the provisions of the Insurance Company.
17. Transport:
In case any trainee needs transport / conveyance to and from the ITC, the same should be clearly indicated in the application form.
18. National Trade Certificate:
The final All India Trade Test (AITT) is conducted by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi. After successful completion of the training and AITT, successful trainees are awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the concerned trade. The National Trade Certificates are recognised for recruitment for appropriate posts as per the advertisement of the Govt. of India, State Govt., State Govt. Undertakings, private organisations etc.

20. Library
Adequate number of text books as well as reference books, journals, magazines are made available in the library for the use of the trainees.
